Online Statements
General Information | Viewing Instructions | Sign up Options | Other Changes | Technical Support
Online statements will soon be available for MSCU members (see sign-up options below). An Online Statement link will be added to www.mscu.com once the October month-end statements are posted on the Doxim site, most likely by the end of the first week of November. Cheque images will also be available online for members who subscribe to that option.
With online delivery you will be able to view your statements much sooner after month-end, rather than waiting for them to arrive in the mail. An archive of your statements and cheque images (if applicable) will be available online for seven years so you will no longer have to worry about where to file all of those papers. MSCU and you, as a member and an owner, will also benefit through savings on postage and paper costs.

Other Important Information about Changes to Statements and Cheque Processing
Changes to Paper Statements
• Members who prefer to receive statements by mail will continue to have this option and will also receive their statements sooner.
• The new statement format will look different but will continue to display your usual account information.
• If you presently have your cancelled cheques returned to you, please refer to “Changes to Cheque Processing” for information about changes in this area.
• As statements are being mailed from an off-site facility, members will no longer have the option of picking up statements from an MSCU branch.
Changes to Cheque Processing
• In place of actual cancelled cheques, members who currently have their cheques returned will receive images of those cheques, either online (for members who sign up for this service), or by mail in printed form.
• Early testing has revealed that a small number of cheques with background design do not scan clearly - we will notify members whose cheques do not meet imaging specifications.
• All personal and manual business cheques (business cheques completed by hand) offered through MSCU are now CPA compliant and provide quality images; the target date for compliance of computer generated business cheques is December 31, 2005.
• For more information, please contact your branch or refer to the CPA document entitled “Standard 006: Specifications for Imageable MICR-Encoded Cheques” at www.cdnpay.ca/rules/pdfs_rules/standard_006.pdf
While our objective is to improve efficiency and delivery time of your statements while preparing for upcoming CPA standards for cheque processing, we realize that the changes outlined above may cause some initial inconvenience for some members. Should you have any questions or concerns arising from these changes, please contact us immediately as we want to work together with all members to make this a successful transition.
