Financial planning continues to grow and become increasingly complex. It can be overwhelming when you look at the expanding options for market related investments, insurance products, and retirement planning. MSCU is here to help you with your financial planning and to help you find the key to understanding all of your options.
What is financial planning?
At MSCU, financial planning involves much more than selling investment products. Before any products are recommended, we encourage you to complete a process with the financial planner at your branch to determine:
• your current financial situation
• your goals and objectives - both short-term and long-term
• your tolerance for risk with investments
• income tax implications of investments and other financial decisions
• stewardship elements of financial decisions
• your risk management and insurance needs
• estate considerations
Once you have gone through this process, you will be equipped to make decisions and create a successful financial plan. Your plan may include debt reduction, saving for education, giving to church and charities, buying a home, or saving for retirement. It is important to review your financial plan periodically to address any changes in your financial situation and/or goals.
